This painting is of Boscombe seafront, about a mile away from Bournemouth seafront, in the UK. Boscombe has its own pier, slightly smaller than the one at Bournemouth, which is where the paintings viewpoint is. The area has been regenerated over the past few years. The foreground building is an original build from the 1950s, and has been sensitively restored, whereas the colourful background buildings are only a few years old. Like Bournemouth, Boscombe boasts a fine, golden sandy beach.It is painted in oils on a 16" x20" canvas, and was painted in 2011.
