Cows in a field in the Devon countryside

20" x 16" oil on canvas board

This painting, showing a group of cows in the countryside was painted in June 2014. The location is in Devon, UK, set during a very hot summer, near to the town of Seaton. The reference photograph on which the painting is based upon, was taken from the 'Seaton Tramway'. In the adjacent field can be seen bundles of wheat wrapped in plastic for transportation. The painting is done in oils on an acrylic base, on a canvas board measuring 20” x 16”.
