Path in New Forest
16" x 12" acrylic on paper

This painting was done in April 2016 and shows a path in the landscape near the town of Lyndhurst, within the New Forest, Hampshire. This part of the forest park area is quite exposed with little in the way of trees and is home to mostly heather and grass. The paths double track, caused probably by motor vehicles, does create a distinctive look through the landscape, with the sandy white, poor quality soil exposed. The painting is done in Acrylics on stretched paper, and measures 16” x 12”.
